Our Clean & Clear Acne Spot Treatment helps to clean up bacteria and heals breakouts faster. This formulation includes witch hazel, an invigorating botanical astringent, which naturally helps to combat acne and reduce inflammation. Witch hazel also contains polyphenols that are the same compounds that have anti-aging properties. Essential oils of tea tree, lavender, frankincense and cypress are added for their antibacterial and healing benefits. Tea tree and cypress naturally help to combat acne, reduce oils, fight inflammation, and reduce discoloration. Frankincense and lavender give this blend a lively aroma and regenerate healthy skin cells and clear bacteria. Along with the essential oils, this astringent helps to reduce the redness and scarring left from breakouts on the surface of the skin.
KEY INGREDIENTS & BENEFITS TO SKIN:
- Witch hazel is an astringent derived from the hamamelis virginiana plant. It is also known for its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties which help to cleanse and soothe minor skin irritations without over-drying or aggravating blemished skin conditions. In addition, Witch Hazel has many benefits for skin, including relieving inflammation, tightening pores, and helping with razor bumps.
- Lavender is known as the “Queen of Essential Oils” because it has so many therapeutic properties. Lavender contains high levels of esters and monoterpenols, which are known to be anti-inflammatory making lavender very healing for the skin.
- Frankincense is widely known for its skin strengthening properties and its ability to improve skin tone, elasticity, and defense mechanisms against bacteria or blemishes. In studies Frankincense has shown to have anti-inflammatory and tissue remodeling properties.
- Cypress is astringent and helps to reduce moisture and expel excess toxins within your skin
- Tea tree has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and is valued for its cleansing properties.
