Lemon (Citrus limon) A highly nutritious fruit, containing ample amounts of vitamins A, B, and C, it is high in bioflavonoids, and antioxidants, which fight free radicals. Lemon is widely used in cosmetics because it balances the skin’s natural pH - very important for glowing skin - and it also naturally lightens the skin, helping to reduce the effects of pigmentation, due to sun damage, or scarring. The essential oil is traditionally used to promote relaxation, fight fatigue, and lift spirits; it is also believed to stimulate the immune system.
