Spearmint (Mentha spicata) Spearmint is valued all over the world as a culinary herb, and as a medicine, as well. It is an antiseptic, toner, a digestive aid and is also considered a nervine, so it is used to ease anxiety. It is widely used in the perfume industry as a scent for bath and body, as well as for foods. It is one of the gentler mints, so it is useful for sensitive skin. A few drops may be placed in the tub to help relieve fatigue. In addition it is useful in helping to ease acne symptoms.
